The Beacon Hill renovation is a perfect balance of old and new, enhancing the charm of this historic home while adapting it to contemporary lifestyles.

Description

This four story brick Greek Revival townhouse built in 1876 is historically known as the C.A. Damon and M.B. Curtis House designed by Thomas F. Haskell and Peterson & Goodwin. Located inside the Historic Beacon Hill neighborhood, it was designated as a historic landmark in 1966. The front facade was restored to its original glory, while the interior was completely reconfigured from a disjointed three family dwelling to a modern single family residence.

Project Highlights:

The owner Nicholas Pinhancos acted as general contractor, hiring subcontractors and coordinating construction once permits were secured using MASS Architect’s drawing package. Vanessa Pinhancos acted as the interior designer, selecting all fixtures and finishes for the project interiors. Historic approval was granted to restore the original windows and make slight modifications to the front entry door, along with adding a roof deck. The rear addition housing the kitchen, master bathroom, and roof deck above was rebuilt from scratch and the original floor framing of the main house was completely replaced at each level.
